How to Reset the Prefilter on a Honeywell 17005 Airfilter

Several months ago I bought a Honeywell Envirocare True HEPA air filter. Its been great, but I finally had to replace the prefilter.  After several unsuccessful trips to Home Depot to buy a replacement filter, I was able to locate one over the weekend.  Replacing the filter wasn't too hard in and of itself, it would have been easier if I'd actually been able to find a pair of scissors to cut the prefilter down with.  Apparently I bought a Universal Prefilter, which basically means you cut it down to the size your air-filter takes.  After throwing away the used filter (which had accumulated a nice coating of white lint and dust), I wrapped the new filter on and put it back inside the housing and screwed the end back on.

Resetting the little indicator bar turned out to be a bit more of a challenge.  Turns out its easy, just hold down the filter button for five seconds.  I think I must have hit every button combination for every amount of time except the single button for five  seconds, might have gotten up to three or four, but that's just not quite long enough.
