Low Grade Allergies Can Make You Miserable
A friend got three cats about 6 months ago. The three animals are spunky & full of energy. My friend has had moderate pollen allergies for years, but refuses to take anything for this, much to my amusement. Some could call me the benedryl queen. Anyway, a few weeks ago, my friend asked me if I thought he might have allergies because he's had a low-grade cold almost since he got the cats.
I wanted to know if it clears up when he leaves home for a long time. Yes, but it has to be longer than a day for him. I thought it does sound like allergies. I'll have to get him some of the 24-hour antihistamines and see if that helps. He wanted to know why some of the symptoms take so long to go away. I told him I don't know, but I have the same reaction. I can have my eyes and lungs start to clear within 20 minutes of leaving a cat-infested area, but if I eat yeast, my eczema reaction is delayed for several days. I find that it takes my sinuses several days to calm down again after eating a lot of bread.
